International Museum Day-Monuments and Memories in Thessaloniki
Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of May 2015
Every 18th of May the students and staff of Aristotle University celebrate International Museums Day organizing the by now famous “interpretative activities” across town in collaboration this year with students of film, architecture and electrical engineering from other Departments. Historical, archaeological and artistic research on monuments and historic places at Aristotelous street in Thessaloniki is presented in original narrative performances, new media shows, guided walks, and visits. Also, this year being dedicated to the life and work of the famous poet Manolis Anagnostakis, his residence is included in the interpretative walks.
