Selected for the NEARCH residency at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, Matthew Wilson is a New-York based artist who works in a variety of media including installation, sculpture, video, text, and site specific action.
Wilson received an MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University. He has been a fellow in the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Independent Study Program and participated in residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and at Fondazione Antonio Ratti’s CSAV - Artists Research Laboratory. During the residency at CSAV, Wilson created site specific work at Museo Archeologico Paolo Giovio in Como, Italy.
